Nyt on tultu siihen pisteeseen että rakas vanha työjuhta lienee parasta päästää päiv… siis eläkepäiville. Minulla jo parisenkymmentä vuotta hyvin palvellut oranssi ompelukone (ja sitä ennen kutakuinkin samanverran vuosia äidilläni) alkaa osoittaa sellaisia merkkejä että päivät ovat luetut. Pari viikkoa sitten toinen ompelukoneeni, 50-luvun Borletti lakkasi toimimasta kesken alushameen ompelun. Nyt Eva Midinetti alkaa päivä päivältä kulkea hitaammin. On siis aika esitellä uusi tulokas: Brother MS4 (joka toivottavasti saapuu viikon sisällä). Viisi erilaista napinläpeä, piilo-ommel ja muutama mukava koristeommel takaavat hyvän käyttöasteen. Muuhun ompeluunhan käytänkin luotettavaa Pfaff-merkkistä lukkotikki-teollisuuskonettani (joka on ihana!).

Now we have come to the point when it is time to release my old trusted friend. I’ve had my old orange sewing machine about 20 years now (and pretty much 20 years before that it was my mums). It seems that the day’s of my Eva Midinetti are numbered, it is working slower and slower every day. Couple weeks ago also my other sewing machine, italian Borletti from the 50’s gave up. So it is time to introduce newcomer: Brother MS4 (which hopefully arrives within a week). Five different button holes, invisible seam and couple lovely decorative seams will make sure that I use this machine a lot. For ordinary seams I will be still using my trustworthy Pfaff industrial machine (which I love!).
